The Fox Who Had Never Seen A Lion
Once upon a time there was a fox who had never seen a lion. One day however he incidentally
came across one and because it was the first time he saw such a fierce animal, he yelped
and whined with mortal fear and ran away as fast as he could with his tail between his
hind legs.
When he met a lion for the second time he became terrified again, but less than the first
time.
And when he had seen a lion for the third time he pulled himself together and gathered all
his wits, and went to the lion to chatter a bit and have some smalltalk with him.
This story explains that familiarity with certain things will lower the fear for it.
