The Fox and The Grapes

Once a very hungry fox saw a vine hanging around a tree. He wanted to grab and eat the grapes to stay alive, but he couldn't reach them. And while he left the place, he said to himself: "Those grapes would've been sour anyway."

Thus there are people who show contempt for certain things due to their incapacity to achieve them.
