The Fox and The Monkey (Who Were Quarreling about Their Nobility)

A fox and a monkey, who were traveling with each other, were discussing their noble births. While both of them were telling a lot of things about it, they suddenly arrived at a particular spot. And when the monkey had set his eyes on the spot, he started to lament loudly. The fox then asked what the cause of his grief was, and the monkey replied, while showing him the graveyard not far ahead of them: "Why shouldn't I cry when seeing the tombstones of the slaves and the released slaves of my ancestors?"

But the fox said to him: "Oh, so you want to lie without being exposed; as nobody of us will ever dig up those graves to refute you."

That's how it goes with humans too: the liars will only boast very much when nobody is capable of refuting them.
