The Fox and The Monkey (Who Was Chosen as King)

At a meeting of all the wild animals there was a monkey who danced for them. Thereby the monkey became so popular that they decided to choose him as their king.

But a fox grew very jealous of him, and when he had incidentally found a trap with a piece of meat lying in it, he got an idea: he led the monkey to the place and said that he had discovered a treasure over there, but that, instead of keeping it for himself, he had guarded it, because he thought it belonged to the kingdom, and then he incited the monkey to get the meat. Without any suspicion the monkey rashly went to the meat and got caught by the trap. With much cursing he accused the fox of having ambushed him, to which the fox replied: "O monkey, do YOU want to reign over the wild animals with such foolishness?"

That's how people who plunge themselves into rash adventures will suffer great misfortune and make a fool of themselves.
